On the first day the students were introduced to the art of paper quilling, in which they roll, twist and curl strips of paper to make patterns. It starts with a simple rolling the strip into a coil, and then pinching the coil into a shape that can be glued together. In the following days, as they make a couple of shapes, they put it together to make either a flower, leaves or other things. In the end, the design, the layout of the final project is entirely the students creativity. They have all the choice to decide how to decorate their card, envelope, frame or decorative box. It was fun to see them engrossed in deep concentration and just relaxing while doing paper quilling.
