KID FIT session consists of 3 stages: 1) Warm-Up 2) Main Activity/ Obstacle Course 3) Wrap Up and Reflection. The sessions give kids the opportunity to stay active with fun moderate to vigorous physical activity during each class. Following is the break-up of the daily sessions conducted and some key skills learnt during the intersession: Warm-up: This stage gently prepares the kids for the KID FIT activity by gradually increasing their heart rate and blood circulation. KID FIT music is played during warm as kids learn better with rhythm and dance. Few activities covered during warm-up stage are Muscles, Animal Walk, Getting Strong, Helicopter etc. which help in developing loco-motors & gross motor skills. Main Activity: This stage involves fun based games & creativity based obstacle courses like Tag game, Hospital dodge ball, capture the flag, Dog & the bone and Musical Hula-hoops etc. kids also enjoyed the Tom & Jerry by using the parachute which helped them to build their upper body strength and Blind cats & dogs was amazing activity to focus on listening skills. The aim here is to introduce & develop skills such as agility, running, quick reflexes, memory, and teamwork with flexibility, throwing etc. Wrap up & Reflection: Following the completion of the KID FIT activity for the day, it is important to gradually cool-down.
